Psychotherapy

Stress, Anxiety, Trauma and Emotion Therapy

Psychotherapy is the practice of helping individuals struggling with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, poor self image or just a feeling that the brain, body and the mind are not in alignment. A trained Psychotherapist does this through kind, caring and compassionate discussion, education and the creation tools and strategies to reduce the obvious symptoms and assist in your emotional wellbeing and growth.

The therapeutic tools used by Seabreeze Therapy to achieve your mental wellbeing goals  are Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focussed Therapy (EFT) or Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Each of these differ in approach and each client responds differently to each of these therapeutical approaches. Severe impact trauma as well as cumulative trauma can be dealt with in a kind and caring humanistic way using most of these approaches – especially Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) which has been proven to be highly effective in PTSD and trauma situations.

Clients that undergo Psychotherapy report feeling lighter, calmer and better equipped to face the challenges of our modern life. Call us to talk direct to talk to Boyd and discuss what is happening to you.
